IBM Software
For a seamless recovery of your IBM servers, SteelEye Life Keeper from Open Minds guarantees to provide you with a complete disaster recovery solution ensuring that you maintain business continuity. Our high availability solutions will grant continuous data protection providing data replication as well as the monitoring of all your IBM servers to ensure failover through the Java GUI.

LifeKeeper is IBM Server Proven and we have worked with IBM to provide these recovery solutions for their software.
Recovery is available for the following IBM Applications

Websphere
LifeKeeper for WebSphere MQ provides fault resilient protection for WebSphere MQ queue managers and queue manager storage locations including the command server, the listener and persistent queue manager data. LifeKeeper ensures that failures on a primary WebSphere MQ server or within a queue manager are automatically detected and corrected to ensure no disruption to message delivery as
a result of application, network or hardware failure.

Lotus Domino
Monitoring and recovery of Lotus Domino services and dependent hardware is achieved by the Open Minds Generic Recovery kt. This enables all Lotus Domino services to be monitored, checked and recovered within the LifeKeeper GUI.

DB2
SteelEye’s LifeKeeper affords increased availability to DB2 operating environments on xSeries hardware by effectively monitoring system and application health. In the event of an outage, LifeKeeper allows applications to automatically failover to other servers in the cluster providing continuous access to DB2 and restored data.

Rational ClearCase
SteelEye LifeKeeper for Rational ClearCase enables integrated monitoring and failover protection of the entire Rational ClearCase environment running on Linux, including the Registry Server, Release Area, and Versioned Object Base (VOB) and View Storage. LifeKeeper protects Rational ClearCase services, either locally on the same server where the processes are currently running, or from a failed primary server onto a backup server. The LifeKeeper solution for Rational ClearCase is certified for Rational ClearCase v7 running on IA32 and Opteron platforms and with both RHEL and SLES Linux distributions.

IBM Director

Given IBM Director’s role as a central platform to monitor and proactively manage IT based business resources, its own availability is critical. The LifeKeeper Protection Suite for IBM Director ensures this by providing high availability protection and eliminating the potential for IBM Director Server being a single point of failure within the system management chain. LifeKeeper constantly monitors Director Server
processes and database to ensure that all components are properly working. If a failure is detected, LifeKeeper perform the necessary actions to return Director to operation. As well as the automated switchover, LifeKeeper also supports manual switchover of Director processes among servers so that planned maintenance can be performed without downtime.

For all of the above applciations we can provide full failover capability. Failover can be local or remote. It can be with or without shared storage.
